The process of removing the door from the hinges
Before you get started, carefullyexamine your doors and find out which hinges they are fastened on, since the way to dismantle the doors depends on the type of hinges. Hinges used for hanging doors can be different - invisible, screwed, more often than not there are card slips that can be removable (a door equipped with such hinges can only be opened in one direction) or fixed, allowing to open the door in both directions.
- The easiest way is to remove the door equipped with removableloops. To do this, the door must be opened so that its upper edge, from the side where the hinges are attached, exits the door frame. Next, under the door, you need to insert a nail or a crowbar (prewound it with a soft rag so as not to scratch the floor and door) and act as a lever to lift the door until the fastening pins completely exit the hinge nests. Thus, the door will be removed from the hinges, and it can be set aside. It is advisable that your assistant keeps the door all the time, so that she does not fall on you. Similarly, the doors hanging on the hinges are removed.
- The situation is more complicated if you needremove the door, equipped with non-removable, otherwise they are also called integral or universal loops. As their name implies, they are not fixed, that it is simply impossible to remove the door from them. To dismantle it, you need to first unscrew these loops from it.
