Crimean airport "Belbek" very soon will be able to serve civilian aircraftJune 14, 2017
More recently, at a meeting with vice-premiers, D. Medvedev explained in detail that in the near future, the Crimean Belbek Airport would be able to serve civilian aircraft, since he had signed a document that concerns the permission of the Russian transport connection with the Crimea peninsula.
Thus, Belbek Airport will soon be included in the list of co-based airfields of the Russian Federation.
The Prime Minister also reports that this decision is extremely important, as it was previously a completely military airfield, and today, after carrying out a number of legal procedures, civilian aircraft will be able to serve there at a sufficiently high level.
Dmitry Medvedev says that the airport needs to be put in order, like many other public facilities that are on the territory of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol in a rather “sour” state.
In turn, Dmitry Kozak stressed the importance of the airport "Belbek", which will serve thousands of tourists and guests of the Crimea. So, this object is located in a very favorable location, namely, it provides access to Sevastopol, to the entire western part of the southern coast of Crimea. It should be noted that in Ukraine this airport had a dual purpose.
